Angus brings more than 30 years of buy side and sell side M&A experience. He worked in corporate development roles with public and private healthcare companies before becoming a Big 4 M&A Advisory Partner. Over the course of his career, he has built and led high growth national M&A practices and advised private equity sponsors and corporate clients on complex acquisitions, divestitures, affiliations, and joint ventures.
He has led hundreds of transactions in multiple sectors across the full deal lifecycle, from deal strategy and due diligence through pre-close planning and post-close value creation and business optimization. His experience includes providing strategic advice to senior executives involved in numerous deal types such as mega deal public-to-public mergers, complex carveouts, FTC mandated divestitures and IPO readiness efforts. At an operational level, his experience is in areas such as TSA and operating model development and execution and post-close value creation and transformation. Angus has also helped multiple organizations build sustainable, in-house M&A muscle by developing repeatable, end-to-end playbooks that focus on agile execution.
In addition to his transaction leadership, Angus is a whitepaper author, a featured panelist at events including the Association for Corporate Growth, the Private Equity Analysts Conference, the Merrill Lynch Private Equity CFO Conference, and M&A forums at Stanford Law School and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He has been interviewed for The Deal and Financier Worldwide.
