John Sengenberger has joined Virtas Partners as a Director in the firm’s Integration & Separations practice.
Virtas Partners is a boutique consulting firm helping clients successfully navigate key transitions, including acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, IPOs, accounting investigations and restatements, performance improvement, and capital placements.
Sengenberger joins the firm’s New York Metro office as Virtas continues to expand its Integration and Separations Practice. He joins Virtas with 19 years of management consulting and industry experience. Before joining Virtas, Sengenberger served most recently as a Senior Vice President with AlixPartners, where he worked in FP&A and as a member of the Aerospace, Defense and Airlines practice. Prior to that role, he served as a Manager in KPMG’s US Strategy & Operations practice. Before pivoting into consulting, he worked in the automotive industry in product launch and validation roles at Navistar. Sengenberger began his career with Boeing in engineering roles on fighter aircraft programs (primarily the F/A-18) and an internship on single-aisle commercial jet programs. He has experience in strategy, due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, cost reduction and transformation, as well as in functional areas including corporate strategy, data and analytics, engineering, finance, human resources, manufacturing and operations, product development, project management, quality, research & development, and supply chain. His industry experience is primarily in Industrial Manufacturing, especially in Aerospace & Defense, and he has worked extensively with private equity firms and portfolio companies in addition to public companies.
